Hello everyone. This is a stressful time; with the election news piling onto our already busy lives, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. We here at Lingua offer our support, and to facilitate that we are announcing that we will be hosting an art event on Monday, November 18*, in the Gazebo Room at the SUB. Lingua will provide you with materials (canvases, paint, paper, collaging materials, etc.) and you can come and create art with us. We hope that this can provide you with a comforting experience and would be overjoyed to see you there.
Stay strong, and remember, creation helps, even if it’s just for yourself.

Hey I’m Kayla, the illustrator for Lingua this year! I’m a senior illustration major, and I spend my time doing lots of digital art and animation, working on games and other projects. My two five-month old kittens love to help me out by sitting on my keyboard and deleting my Photoshop layers.

Hi Friends!! I’m Kayelissa, a bubbly visual communications and Visual Arts major/artist here at SPU. I’m a *planet-sized* Disney enthusiast, bookworm, plant collector, professional yapper of critters and creatures, and a poetic scrapbooker. (The list could really go on!) As Lingua’s Marketing and Events Coordinator this year, I get to blend my love for design and connection in our student publications. I believe sharing art is a beautiful way to express and connect, and I’m passionate about creating and being part of spaces where creatives like me can showcase their gifts. Hey everyone! I’m Ryan, the Editor-in-Chief of Lingua this year. I’m a third year computer science major. Outside of school and editing, some of my loves are fencing, folklore, poetry, and linguistics—if you ask me anything about any of the above be well prepared for me to excitedly ramble on for a long time.
